This onboarding guide will walk you through the steps to get started on the KobiCare platform.

1. Who Can Become a Caregiver?

• ✔️ Must be 18 years of age or older.
• ✔️ Must have a valid government-issued photo ID.
• ✔️ Must pass a basic screening process.
• ✔️ Should have prior experience with either childcare, pet care, or both.
• ✔️ Must be reliable, professional, and respectful at all times.

2. Steps to Get Started

• 1. Go to www.kobicare.com and click 'Become a Caregiver'.
• 2. Create an account with your name, email, and password.
• 3. Complete your caregiver profile, including:
•    - Bio and experience
•    - Services offered (childcare, pet sitting, dog walking, etc.)
•    - Service area and availability
•    - Profile photo
• 4. Upload a clear image of your government-issued ID.
• 5. Agree to the KobiCare Terms of Service and Caregiver Code of Conduct.
• 6. Optional: Submit a background check authorization (if applicable in your region).
• 7. Submit your profile for approval by the KobiCare team.

3. After Approval

• ✅ Your profile will become visible to families and pet owners.
• ✅ You can begin accepting job requests and communicating securely through the platform.
• ✅ Payments for completed jobs will be deposited to your connected account (Stripe or other approved processor).

4. Tips for Success

5. Safety and Support

• KobiCare encourages caregivers to conduct meet-and-greets before accepting first-time jobs.
• All communication should remain on the platform for security and accountability.
• If you ever feel unsafe or experience a policy violation, contact support immediately.

6. Payments and Taxes

• Caregivers are paid via the platform’s secure system after successful job completion.
• KobiCare deducts a small service fee from each booking to maintain the platform.
• As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes and insurance.
